Daniel Lee Builds on Burberry's Classics for Pre-Fall 2024
By:

Daniel Lee has returned with Burberry’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection, ushering in a lineup that reaffirms the brand’s codes — across heritage icons and burgeoning signatures. Built on British culture, the range enlists classic muted tones and traditional earthy hues alongside a fresh iteration of the Burberry Check. The collection notes define the line as “relaxed elegance,” for its easy proportions and light textiles. Trench coats are left long and voluminous, abandoning belts for a more dramatic, flowing finish in silk twill and wool. Aviator coats, composed of shearling, arrive without sleeves, and others are reimagined as scarves. Leather versions, meanwhile, nod to Burberry’s legacy in motorsports. Here, Burberry expands on its classic outerwear: wool duffle coats are decorated with the updated check; field coats prioritize utilitarianism; and parkas employ garment-dyed canvas. Knitwear, meanwhile, comprises high-neck mohair sweaters and blanket scarves donning the Equestrian Knight motif. In footwear, the Equestrian Stirrup boots are built for the outdoors, and they come in two versions: one that cuts at the knee and another that slices at the ankle. The Boulder Boots, made from rubber, flash the Burberry Check on their side panels; and the Log shoes are dressed in suede, among others. See Burberry’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection in the gallery above.
